Yilwatda predicts landslide re-election for Tinubu in 2027

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has expressed strong confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will win a convincing second term in the 2027 general elections.

Yilwatda, who spoke during a courtesy visit by the Women Leaders Support Advancement group in Abuja on Monday, said nationwide acceptance of the administration’s policies underpins his optimism.

“Our party is fully prepared for the future, and by the grace of God, the APC will win convincingly in 2027,” he declared.

He praised Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda, noting its expanded opportunities for women and young people, and its alignment with citizens’ demand for more inclusive governance.

Meanwhile, APC National Secretary Senator Ajibola Bashiru announced the postponement of the party’s National Caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings to December 18 and 19, respectively. Party sources attributed the shift to President Tinubu’s schedule and the Osun APC governorship primary set for December 13.

In Osun, controversy continues as former APC National Secretary Senator Iyiola Omisore reacted to his disqualification from the governorship primary. The screening panel had disqualified him and six others for failing to meet mandatory nomination requirements — a decision Omisore alleges was influenced by “a powerful politician.”
