Why Peter Obi, Kwankwaso Ran Away From ADC – Usman Yusuf

    Published on

Former Executive Secretary of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Prof Usman Yusuf, has claimed that former presidential candidates, Peter Obi and Rabiu Kwankwaso, ran away from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) because former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, is stronger than them.

Yusuf made the remark in an interview on Trust TV, stating that Peter Obi and Kwankwaso contributed nothing to the ADC while they were part of the party.

He said, “Atiku was stronger than Obi and Kwankwaso, that’s why they ran away. What did Kwankwaso bring to the ADC, nothing. But there has to be legal process that everybody feels they are included in the process and that is how mature politicians behave, not running away and giving numbers that they did this and that.

“There is a process to go through and the government is trying to thwart that process with all this legal litigation going on and the Attorney General disgracefully went to court to delist a political party. Don’t they have better things to do.

“All this government is trying to do is to rig this election, threaten our democracy, and stifle descending voices.”

Yusuf also warned President Bola Tinubu that his popular slogan, “on your mandate we shall stand,” will remove him from the presidential Villa in 2027 because Nigerians are fed up with his administration.

He added, “Governance has stopped now and all they are doing is dancing around, “on your mandate we shall stand” and on your mandate you will get out of the Villa. Nigerians are fed up Mr President, nobody is telling you the truth.

“What basis does he have to face our people or any cleric to come back and vote for him again, why? In ADC, there is no candidate yet, people project as if they know tomorrow, there is no candidate yet, they are going through the process.”
