What Ancelotti told Modric after Brazil beat Croatia

    Published on

Brazil head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, was seen joking with AC Milan midfielder Luka Modric following Selecao’s friendly 3-1 win against Croatia on Tuesday

Ancelotti’s side bounced back from their recent 2-1 friendly defeat to France with a 3-1 victory over Croatia.

Goals from Danilo, Igor Thiago and Gabriel Martinelli gave Brazil the win against Croatia at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, United States.

However, following the match, Ancelotti approached Modric and shook hands with him with a smile.

The Italian later asked the Real Madrid legend (as per Fabrizio Romano), “Don’t you have a Brazilian grandfather?”

Modric played under Ancelotti during their time together at Real Madrid.

The 40-year-old played 276 matches across all competitions for Real Madrid, scoring 28 goals and contributing 50 assists under Ancelotti’s guidance.
