Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia sit joint-top of the Man of the Match standings in this season’s UEFA Champions League after winning four awards each.
Osimhen’s club, Galatasaray, are already out of the competition following their round-of-16 exit to Liverpool. Yet the Nigerian striker remains one of the tournament’s standout performers ahead of the final between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal FC in Budapest on May 30.
Osimhen’s first award came in Galatasaray’s 1-0 win over Liverpool on 30 September 2025, when his penalty settled the game at RAMS Park.
He added a second in a 3-1 win against Bodø/Glimt on 22 October, then claimed a third after a hat-trick against AFC Ajax on 5 November. His fourth came in a 3-2 defeat to Juventus FC, a match in which his goal helped seal Galatasaray’s progress into the last 16.
Kvaratskhelia has surged in recent weeks for PSG. He earned his latest award in a 2-0 quarter-final win over Liverpool and previously won two in the French side’s double-header against Chelsea FC in March. His first honour arrived in a 4-0 win over Atalanta BC in September 2025.
Declan Rice remains within touching distance with three awards. The midfielder impressed in Arsenal wins over Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen before starring in the semi-final second leg against Atlético Madrid.
Osimhen’s European campaign produced seven goals and three assists in 10 appearances. Both he and Kvaratskhelia previously shone together at Napoli, helping the club win the Serie A title in 2022-2023.
Osimhen finished as top scorer with 26 goals, while Kvaratskhelia was named Player of the Year after contributing 12 goals and 10 assists. Since then, the Georgian winger has joined PSG in a €70 million move, while Osimhen completed a €75 million switch to Galatasaray in 2025 following an initial loan spell.
