According to Yusuf Tuggar, Nigeria’s minister of foreign affairs, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration has been successful in improving the nation’s reputation outside.
This was revealed by Tuggar during the Ministerial Press Conference in Abuja on Thursday.
He said that under President Tinubu’s administration, Nigeria’s foreign policy was set up to guarantee that Nigerians would never be humiliated overseas.
He also cited the effective repatriation of monies as a Ministry of Foreign Affairs accomplishment under the Tinubu government.
“Under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, we have been successful in restoring Nigeria’s reputation overseas.
“The humiliation of Nigerians abroad is not tolerated by the government,” he declared.
He gave instances when the administration was able to secure the release of Nigerians who had been held for years due to immigration-related concerns.
“Jersey Odey, who was imprisoned in a nation despite orders to free him.” He wasn’t freed until the Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration. Among many other things, he said, “He is back home.”
