Facing the hosts in the upcoming final on Sunday under Jose Peseiro’s leadership, the Super Eagles are eyeing their fourth title following a hard-fought victory over Bafana Bafana of South Africa.

With an impressive record of five wins and one draw in six outings at the AFCON 2023 finals, Troost-Ekong expressed the team’s determination to make winning the tournament a special achievement.

Speaking to reporters, Troost-Ekong stated, “We fought hard to get to the final. We’re not satisfied with just reaching the final; we now aim to go all the way and win the tournament. It will be a tough game, but it will be special. Everyone is very excited, and we don’t need any extra motivation for this AFCON final.”
