Tinubu must apologise for suspending Fubara – PDP

    Published on

Deputy National Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Timothy Osadolor, has asked President Bola Tinubu to apologise for suspending Governor Siminilayi Fubara.

He accused Tinubu of exceeding his constitutional powers by declaring emergency rule in Rivers State.
Osadolor said this on Wednesday in Abuja while reacting to the President’s decision.

According to him, the President’s action undermined the separation of powers and set a dangerous precedent for Nigeria’s democracy.

“Yes, I think the President is overreaching when I read the last paragraph of his speech, where he spoke to governors as if he were a headmaster in a classroom.

“He should apologise. I felt he should understand fully well that there is a clear division of powers,” Osadolor stated.
