    Tinubu Honors Legacy of Late Deputy Chief Whip Onanuga

    President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow at the passing of Adewunmi Onanuga, the Deputy Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, who represented the Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency of Ogun State. Onanuga passed away on Wednesday after a brief illness.

     

    In a statement from the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised the late lawmaker’s dedication to her constituency and her significant contributions to Nigerian politics, particularly as a role model for women. Tinubu described Onanuga as a passionate advocate for a better Nigeria and a tireless servant of her people.

     

    The President further highlighted Onanuga’s leadership as Chairperson of the House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development during the 9th Assembly and her service as Deputy Chief Whip in the 10th Assembly.

     

    On behalf of the federal government, President Tinubu extended heartfelt condolences to Onanuga’s family, the people of Ogun State, and her constituents, while praying for divine comfort for those grieving her loss and eternal peace for her soul.
