President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his wife, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, have expressed their appreciation and admiration for the Super Falcons of Nigeria following their performance in the 2023 Women’s World Cup. Despite the team’s exit from the tournament after a penalty shootout loss to England’s Lionesses, the President and his wife are impressed by the Falcons’ heroic efforts.

In recognition of their remarkable performance, President Tinubu and his wife have decided to host the team in Abuja this week. The gesture aims to celebrate and honor the team’s achievements on the global stage, despite not reaching the quarter-finals of the competition.

Both President Tinubu and Senator Tinubu have taken to social media to commend the Super Falcons. President Tinubu, on his verified Twitter page, praised the team’s efforts and acknowledged that their brilliant performance did not go unnoticed.

Senator Tinubu also joined in the praise, stating that the Nigerian team gave England a tough challenge and played fine soccer during the match. She expressed pride in the Falcons’ performance and emphasized that they made Nigeria proud on the international stage.

The appreciation and support from President Tinubu and his wife are a testament to the impact of the Super Falcons’ performance, not only on the field but also in inspiring and uniting the nation during the Women’s World Cup.
