In a recent incident, the police in Idumota, Lagos, have successfully apprehended three fraudsters who forcibly abducted a 23-year-old woman. The victim, whose name has been withheld, was en route to Iyana Oworo from Gerard Road Ikoyi when she boarded the suspects’ Volkswagen Vento salon car with the license plate BDG 513 EJ.

The three suspects have been identified as Austin Okoro, aged 47, who is believed to be the ringleader, Godwin Asezour, aged 54, and Susan Elohor, aged 42. During the ordeal, the suspects attempted to dupe their victim by introducing her to their purported money-doubling scheme.

Fortunately, a Rapid Response Squad (RRS) patrol team was spotted by the victim when they reached Idumota. She quickly raised the alarm, leading to the immediate arrest of the fraudsters by the RRS operatives.

After a thorough investigation led by CSP Olayinka Egbeyemi, the suspects have been charged in court to face the consequences of their actions.
