They can: Osman selects  team to take home trophy

According to Leon Osman, a former Everton midfielder, Arsenal is “capable” of winning the Champions League this year.

Following Tuesday night’s 5-1 thumping of Sporting by the Gunners, Osman was interviewed by the BBC.

Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, and Gabriel Magalhaes gave the Gunners a three-goal advantage going into halftime.

Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard increased the distance for Mikel Arteta’s team even though Goncalo Inacio gave Sporting a response.

“I was asked at the beginning of the season if I thought Arsenal could win the Champions League,” Osman stated. Yes, I do believe so, I replied.

Such performances are necessary for them. They must be more upbeat while they are not at home.

The concern was whether they could actually go out and beat someone, as Manchester City and Real Madrid occasionally do, even though we know they can play good defense.

They’ve already accomplished it against a Sporting team that has a 13-month winning streak here and a fantastic start to the season. In every way, they have completely dominated them.
