    Suspected kidnappers abduct five in Kogi community

    Five residents of Magongo in Ogori/Magongo local government area of Kogi state have been aducted by suspected armed bandits.

    The National President of the Magongo Development Association (MDA), Prince Jordan Akpata who confirmed the incidence on phone on Tuesday said we’re retuning from a wedding program on Monday night when they ran into the ambush of the kidnappers

    “The victims had traveled to Jos on Friday for a wedding ceremony. They however ran into the ambush of the kidnappers at about 8.30 pm on Monday night and were taken into the bush few kilometers from their destination in Magongo.

    He said that the victims were forced to disembark from their vehicle and ordered into the bush at gunpoint.

    Prince Akpata appealed to the Kogi State Government and security agencies to urgently intervene and ensure the safe rescue of the abducted citizens.

    The Kogi state Police Command is yet to react to this development as at the time of filling this report

    Repeated call put across to the Command’s spokesman, CSP William Aya rang out. He has not also responded to our correspondents enquiry about the development.
