The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has disbursed ₦12,394,601 to 242 students of Abubakar Tatari Ali Polytechnic (ATAPOLY), Bauchi State, for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The latest payment, which covers statutory charges for verified beneficiaries, is expected to provide financial relief and help eligible students continue their studies without disruption.

The disbursement was acknowledged by the Polytechnic in a letter dated August 5, 2026. In the letter, the Registrar, Lawal Sambo, ASCON, MISMC, expressed the institution’s appreciation to NELFUND for its commitment to expanding access to quality tertiary education in Nigeria.

According to the Polytechnic, the latest payment represents the fourth batch of NELFUND student loan disbursements received by the institution.

The ₦12,394,601 paid to 242 beneficiaries brings the total amount received by ATAPOLY for the 2025/2026 academic session to ₦89,602,556.

The institution said the latest tranche, alongside the first, second and third batches totalling ₦77,207,955, underscores the reach of the student loan programme among its students.

ATAPOLY also commended the Federal Government and NELFUND for the educational support programme, describing the intervention as valuable to students facing the financial demands of tertiary education.

The Polytechnic reaffirmed its commitment to continued collaboration with NELFUND in advancing access to quality education and supporting students throughout their academic pursuits.

The latest disbursement adds to NELFUND’s ongoing student-financing interventions aimed at helping eligible Nigerian students meet the financial requirements associated with tertiary education.
