‎Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State, on Thursday, reiterated the Federal Government ‘s renewed commitment to lowering the cost of living by prioritizing agricultural mechanisation and boosting food production.
    ‎
‎The governor also restated the Federal Government ‘s preparedness to expand vital infrastructure like roads and ports, and ensure that economic stability directly improves the everyday lives of ordinary citizens.
    ‎
‎Reading the presidential broadcast titled ‘From reform to prosperity’ at the Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka to commemorate Nigeria’s 66th independence anniversary, Soludo conveyed the message honoring the resilience of Nigerians over the past six decades.
    ‎
‎The address noted that despite historic trials, the indomitable spirit of farmers, traders, teachers, entrepreneurs, and security forces has sustained the nation through its most testing eras.
    ‎
‎Reflecting on the state of the economy, the presidential message asserted that the difficult structural reforms implemented over the past three and a half years were critical surgical interventions required to save the nation from systemic collapse.
    ‎
‎The address compared past fiscal missteps to palliative measures that only mask underlying illnesses, emphasising that the tough decisions have successfully steadied the ship, yielding over 4 percent economic growth this year, lower inflation, and record non-oil export revenues.
    ‎
‎Marking a major shift in national trajectory, the message declared that the emergency phase of economic stabilisation has ended.
    ‎
‎”The administration’s focus has now transitioned from correcting course to delivering shared and widespread prosperity,” the address concluded.
