Senate Leader Speaks On Exchanging Blows With Akpabio

    Published on

Jackson Ude said on his X handle that Senator Bamidele had a spat with Akpabio at the Senate cafeteria and accused him of excluding Southern senators by giving his Northern colleagues lucrative committee slots.

However, in a quick response, Senator Bamidele rejected the allegations as false and baseless in a statement released by his media staff.

Despite calling Ude a “cash-and-carry” journalist and a known serial blackmailer, the lawmaker said that he and Senator Akpabio did not engage in physical combat on Wednesday.

For the record, it is a proven fact that Senator Bamidele has never been the victim of physical attack throughout the more than two decades of his political career, not even as a young man leading the National

It is astonishing that the source of this false information chose to destroy journalism’s ethos and savor roadside gossip in order to damage the Senate Leader’s reputation due to his self-serving goals and unprofessional behavior.

We are aware that the purpose of false news is to incite discontent in the Senate and, consequently, to agitate the political system.

A major testament to Ude’s ingenuity is the fact that the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. YU Dunhai, and his delegation were greeted by the Senate Leader, the Senate President, and other key Senate officers within minutes after they left the session on Wednesday.

Additionally, pictures of the Chinese envoys under the Senate’s leadership were extensively featured in today’s main national publications. The Senate President and Senate Leader both left the National Assembly grounds yesterday in the same car, which is also verified.

The Senate Leader is cautioning attention-seekers like Ude to exercise caution and not take the Leader’s gentlemanliness for granted once more.

According to the CyberCrime Act of 2015, the Leader will now have to utilize the legal system’s tools to safeguard himself and his position. Therefore, we implore the public to ignore this false information and show it the deference it merits.

The disruptive fifth columnists in Nigeria have not been succeeding. This is again another outstanding failure. Since the 10th Senate is a singularly cohesive body of honorable and patriotic Nigerians, no deception can break the relationship.
