Anticipation has continued to soar as ticket sales officially went on sale for the Barça Legends vs African Legends Championship Cup, scheduled for October 25, 2025, at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.

Leading the African Legends side will be household names such as Jay-Jay Okocha, the mercurial midfielder celebrated for his dazzling dribbling and creativity; Nwankwo Kanu, the two-time African Footballer of the Year and Olympic gold medalist; Emmanuel Adebayor, former Arsenal and Manchester City striker known for his power and finishing; and Alex Song, the ex-Barcelona midfield general.

They will square off against the Barça Legends, featuring some of the Catalan club’s finest exports including Ronaldinho, the Brazilian magician who redefined flair in world football, Saviola, Giuly and other icons who thrilled global audiences in their prime.

Tickets are already selling, within different categories. ₦7,500 for Early Bird, ₦25,000 for Premium, and ₦150,000 for VVIP, all available for purchase at bit.ly/championscup2025.

Beyond the spectacle on the pitch, the match carries a powerful social message. Proceeds from the game will contribute to initiatives focused on girl child empowerment, using the global language of football to advocate for equal opportunities in education, sports, and leadership.

This initiative, initiated by Attom Foundation in partnership with ZMB Homes and WGI underscores the belief that football can be a tool for change, inspiring young girls across Africa to dream bigger and break barriers.

“This is more than a football match. It’s a celebration of football heritage, and it’s also about leaving a legacy off the pitch,” said Yahaya Attom, founder of Attom Foundation. “By supporting girl child empowerment, this game will inspire future generations to see that they too can rise to greatness.”
