Project GIANT launched to inspire multi-generational effort to rebuild Nigeria

    Published on

A new initiative called Project GIANT (Generations Inspired, Awaken for a Better Tomorrow) has been unveiled to chart a long-term path for rebuilding Nigeria through shared history, culture, and collective responsibility.

Victor Prince Dickson, popularly known as The Transformer and the visioneer behind the National Cake Game, introduced the project during a private unveiling in Abuja on Wednesday, and warned that the country was at a critical turning point.

“I believe that Nigeria is facing a challenge, not just a challenge, Nigeria is at that point where if we take it for granted Nigeria possibly may implode very soon,” he said.

Drawing on lessons from other nations, Dickson stressed the importance of managing internal divisions. “When the human mind gets very angry with conflict, if you don’t manage it, a crisis will occur. If you don’t manage the crisis, chaos will come. So, if you want to avoid chaos, manage the conflict,” he said.

He identified the lack of a shared national vision as a major obstacle. “If you challenge a Nigerian and ask them what exactly is a Nigerian dream, they don’t have it. Now, we don’t have a vision. Why don’t we have that vision? Because we don’t know our history. That’s where the problem is,” he said.

To address this, Dickson introduced the National Cake Game, developed under his company Alpha Kulture. The game features 160 historical events and policies that have shaped Nigeria up to 2025, along with 40 projected events from 2025 to 2075, all presented in an interactive format.

“Young people peer-to-peer can learn, families can learn, schools can learn. Rather than doing a master class or a conference on building Nigeria, I have succeeded in carrying that discussion into people’s homes,” Dickson said.

The wider Project GIANT framework includes the National Oven (an online community), the Nigerian Dream Magazine, and a National Cake Championship. Dickson described the initiative as a multi-generational plan that brings together different age groups. “The older one will come with their wisdom, the youth will come with their strength, then the new generation are the one that are opportune for you to build them to become. So these three must work together,” he said.

A special guest at the unveiling, Pastor Ketandu Oje, praised the project’s approach.

“When the name of the national cake comes up, it’s very, very interesting. In this nation where you hear about the national cake, all people think about is what to take for themselves. But what we are talking about here is being able to bring about the original picture of a united nation,” he said.

He added that the game’s historical coverage could “bring everybody on board” and foster unity through shared understanding.

A member of the National Cake team, Oluwatobi Olabode, described Alpha Kulture as “a forward-thinking enterprise dedicated to remodeling the building blocks of society culture, mindset, identity, and language through the strategic use of games and gamification.”

He said games can be powerful tools for cultural change and identity building.

Dickson further outlined bold targets for the initiative: “Our target in two years is that 1,000 schools should have this. 50,000 families should have this, at least in two years. So that’s our target, and that’s why we are now appealing to people to join us, so that we can push this dream forward,” Dickson said.

He called on both government and private stakeholders to adopt the initiative as part of Nigeria’s educational and cultural development. “History is back, but which books, which tools are we using to teach it? So, I’m offering this now as a tool to teach that history that is back. Anyone who has vision knows that this is an answer to solve most of Nigerian problems,” he said.

Alpha Kulture is a transformation-driven enterprise founded by Dickson. It integrates play, design, and psychology into cultural innovation, using gamification to reshape mindsets, identities, and narratives. Its mission is to inspire nations toward growth, justice, moral excellence, and innovation.
