The Kaduna State Police Command has successfully arrested two armed robbery suspects in the Hayin Malam Bello community of the Igabi Local Government Area on Tuesday. The confirmation of the arrests came from the command’s spokesperson, ASP Mansir Hassan, on Wednesday.

According to Hassan, the police received a distress call from the Hayin Malam Bello community reporting the presence of an unscrupulous robbery syndicate operating on motorcycles in the area. The suspects, brandishing an object suspected to be a gun, were reportedly robbing individuals of their phones and other valuables.

“In response to the information, our operatives swiftly stormed the scene and apprehended two suspects, both hailing from the Rigasa area in Igabi LGA,” Hassan explained.

He further revealed that the gang leader, known as T-Pain and confirmed to be in possession of an English pistol, managed to escape the police operation. However, Hassan assured that the investigation was underway with heightened efforts to apprehend the escaped gang leader.

The spokesperson urged residents to provide timely and useful information to assist in preventing crimes in the community, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between law enforcement and the public in maintaining security.
