The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Plateau State Chapter, Hon Rufus Bature, on Monday, joined Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang and APC National Chairman, Prof Nentawe Yilwatda, to receive the City Boy Movement in Jos.
The engagement, held at the APC State Secretariat, Kalwa House, Yakubu Gowon Way, focused on youth participation, political organisation and preparations for the 2027 general elections.
In his remarks, Yilwatda called for stronger coordination across party structures, from the national level to state, local government, ward and polling unit levels.
He said effective grassroots organisation remains critical to electoral success.
Bature said the Plateau APC under his leadership is prioritizing improved coordination among LGA and ward executives, broader stakeholder engagement and the strengthening of polling-unit teams across the 17 LGAs.
Speaking on behalf of the movement, the Director-General of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, said the group was established to promote youth participation in politics and governance. He thanked Governor Mutfwang and the APC leadership for the reception.
Also speaking, the North Central Coordinator of the movement, Ambassador Abdul Fatah, described Plateau as a state of particular significance, noting that his political journey started in the state.
The meeting was attended by the Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Gabriel Daniel Nanlong, Head of Service, Mr. Stephen Gadong, and other political stakeholders.
The APC Plateau Chapter said the engagement is part of ongoing efforts to build working relationships with youth formations and strengthen political participation ahead of 2027.
Under Bature, the party said it will continue to focus on unity, discipline and effective organisation from the ward to the polling unit.
