The Petroleum Products Retail Outlet Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) has teamed up with Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals to ensure an uninterrupted supply of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) throughout the festive season and beyond.

Following a strategic meeting held earlier this week at the Dangote Refinery complex in Lagos, PETROAN’s National President, Dr. Billy Gillis-Harry, announced the partnership’s objective to avert fuel shortages across the country.

In a statement released on Friday by PETROAN’s National Public Relations Officer, Dr. Joseph Obele, the partnership includes a seller-buyer arrangement with Dangote Refinery, monthly volume reservations, favorable payment terms, and competitive pricing.

Dr. Gillis-Harry praised Dangote Group’s Vice President and Managing Director of Dangote Refinery, Mr. Devakumar V. G. Edwin, for his cooperation and strategies aimed at ensuring the availability of petroleum products during the end-of-year festivities.

PETROAN has committed to preventing fuel scarcity during the festive period, citing collaborative efforts with Dangote Refinery and the Port Harcourt refinery. The association also reassured Nigerians that all retail outlets have been placed on high alert to ensure smooth operations.

PETROAN further urged against panic buying, emphasizing that stockpiling petroleum products is unsafe. The association called on stakeholders in the downstream sector to support the efforts to maintain a steady supply of petroleum products nationwide.
