The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended Senator Dino Melaye from Kogi State due to alleged anti-party activities. The decision, announced on Friday, September 13, was made by the Ayetoro/Iluagba Ward 1 executive committee following a review of a disciplinary committee’s report on Melaye.

The party’s suspension of Melaye is part of its broader effort to maintain discipline and unity within its ranks. This action mirrors previous suspensions within the party, including that of Osun chieftain Peter Babalola in August 2024 for similar reasons and former Benue Governor Samuel Ortom for alleged misconduct.

The PDP has taken a firm stance on enforcing party discipline, with further details on Melaye’s suspension expected to emerge.
