The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors, in a recent meeting, reviewed the nation’s current state, particularly the economic and security challenges faced by Nigerians. Governor Mohammed, speaking on behalf of the governors, emphasized the urgent need for the Federal Government to collaborate with subnational governments to find lasting solutions to these crises.
He reiterated the call for the establishment of state police, with appropriate safeguards to prevent any potential abuse of power. Additionally, the governors committed to playing their part in bringing security and relief to the people.
Addressing reporters, Mohammed mentioned the cooperation between opposition governors and the President Bola Tinubu-led Federal Government in tackling national challenges. He highlighted efforts made by the governors, including measures to alleviate the impact of certain policies on the populace, such as opening food reserves to provide relief to those in need.

He expressed concerns about the economic direction of the country, emphasizing the need for collective action to address issues affecting the standard of living.
