Tension enveloped Ikire, a town in Osun State’s Irewole Local Government Area, on Sunday after the convoy of renowned Fuji musician, Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, came under attack.

The incident, which took place in the afternoon, involved suspected hoodlums who allegedly hurled stones and opened fire on vehicles in the convoy, including a black Hummer Jeep and a white Hilux truck.

According to eyewitnesses, the vehicles suffered noticeable damage during the assault.

It is yet to be confirmed whether any members of Pasuma’s entourage were injured.

A video that has gone viral on social media captured the chaos, with people shouting in panic. A voice in the background, speaking in Pidgin English, said, “Kasala don burst for Ikire. They don attack us. They carry gun shoot us but God dey.”

Attempts by journalists to contact Pasuma or his management team for comment were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.

The incident left local residents shocked and caused brief panic in the area, disrupting businesses and normal activity.

While Pasuma was said to be in town for a performance, specific details of his visit have not been officially confirmed.

As of the time of this report, the Osun State Police Command has not issued a statement or confirmed any arrests related to the attack.
