The Oyo State Government has closed six health facilities for engaging in quackery and hiring unqualified personnel. Among the sealed health facilities are New Jobi Memorial Hospital, Omolara Clinic and Maternity Home, Amazing Grace Medical Clinic, Emiloju Clinic and Maternity Centre, Safeway Clinic, and Emilagba Clinic and Maternity Centre. The state’s Antiquackery Task Force Committee conducted the operation to ensure the health and well-being of residents, as part of the government’s efforts to combat quackery. Dr. Adekunle Aremu, Chairman of the committee, emphasized that anyone found guilty would be prosecuted, urging the public to seek services from accredited and registered health facilities in the state.
