Sen. Ned Nwoko (APC-Delta) has paid tribute to Dr Chamberlain Dunkwu, Deputy Chief of Staff to Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, describing him as a steadfast, confidant and loyal compatriot,

Dunkwu, who is also the President of the Nigeria Aquatics Federation (NAqF), died on Saturday in Abuja.

In his condolence, Nwoko, who represents Delta North Senatorial District in the 10th National Assembly, described the death of Dunkwu as a “blow that has struck with uncommon force”.

“Over the years, life has confronted many of us with the harsh finality of loss, yet this particular blow is one that has struck with uncommon force. It is difficult, almost impossible, to reconcile with the reality that Chamberlain is no longer with us.

“Chamberlain was steady, dependable, and always ready to lend both his voice and his strength whenever duty calls.

“Anioma has lost one of its finest sons. The Ika nation has lost an illustrious leader whose life was marked by courage, intellect, and an unwavering commitment to the progress of our people.

“For me personally, I have lost a strong voice, one that spoke truth with clarity and stood firmly for what was right,” he said.

The lawmaker also said that life could sometimes be painfully cruel in its finality.

“Moments like this force us to confront the fragile nature of our earthly journey. That someone so full of purpose, energy, and promise can be taken so suddenly is a reality that remains difficult to comprehend.

“Chamberlain’s memory will endure in the lives he touched, the ideals he stood for, and in the quiet but lasting imprint he left upon our collective journey,” Nwoko added.
