Reacting to the overwhelming insecurity pervading the country, and most recently, the abduction of school children and teachers in Oyo State, Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu has prided Nigerians as too courageous and resilient to be intimidated by insurgents.
Oluremi stated this at the weekend during a meeting with members of the Ekiti State Traditional Rulers’ Council at the Government House in Ado-Ekiti.
The First Lady expressed confidence that the country’s security challenges would soon be overcome, noting that the President remained committed to addressing insecurity across the country and is working tirelessly to ensure lasting peace.
She acknowledged the foreign assistance and partnerships Nigeria continues to receive towards tackling security crisis, expressing optimism that the situation would improve significantly in the near future.
“Nigerians are too great to be intimidated by insurgents. Let us remain hopeful and continue to pray for the nation.
“God would not abandon the country in its efforts to overcome its challenges,” she said.
The First Lady was in Ado-Ekiti over the weekend to attend the flag-off of APC women’s wing political campaign.
