In an effort to dismantle the operations of the IPOB/ESN and protect innocent Nigerians from harm, the Air Component of Operation UDO KA II executed precise air strikes on the 26th of September, 2023. The strikes effectively targeted and neutralized the IPOB/ESN locations in Mother Valley Orsumughu, Anambra State, and Aku Ihube, Imo State.

Intelligence reports revealed the IPOB/ESN terrorists’ plans to disrupt civic activities in Anambra State and other Southeastern states. Consequently, air strikes were authorized and carried out in collaboration with ground troops and other security agencies. The strikes not only hit their intended targets but also forced the terrorists to flee the area. The operation was deemed a success based on the positive feedback received.

Furthermore, following a thorough analysis of intelligence reports, air strikes were also conducted on the IPOB/ESN hideout camps in Aku Ihube, Imo State. The targets were effectively attacked, resulting in a significant degree of success.

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) and other security agencies are fully committed to ensuring the safety and freedom of all Nigerians. Public support is crucial in the collective fight against these criminal elements who aim to sow fear and division among citizens.

Efforts to maintain national security will persist with unwavering determination from the security agencies. The cooperation of all Nigerians is essential in defeating these threats and creating a safer environment for everyone.
