As Nigerians across the globe celebrate Independence Day, the Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Institute for Sports, Comrade Philip Shaibu, has paid tribute to the country’s heroes past.

In his goodwill message personally signed and made available to journalists in Abuja, the immediate past Deputy Governor of Edo State said:

“As we celebrate Nigeria’s Independence Anniversary, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all Nigerians. This day reminds us of the sacrifices of our heroes past and the resilience, unity, and strength that continue to define us as a people.

“At the National Institute for Sports, we remain committed to building a greater Nigeria through sports development, excellence, and innovation. Let us continue to work together, not only to nurture talent but also to foster national pride and unity.

“On this note, I also wish everyone a Happy New Month filled with peace, progress, and renewed opportunities. May this season inspire us all to keep striving for a stronger, united, and prosperous Nigeria.

“Happy Independence Day and a blessed new month to you all.”
