In the spirit of Ramadan generosity, Alhaji Nasiru Danu, the chairman/CEO of Nasiru Danu Foundation, made a significant donation to support students at the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA). On Saturday, he presented 500 cartons of noodles to the university’s students. This follows a similar donation of 500 cartons of noodles to Federal University, Dutse, Jigawa State, by the foundation.

The handover of the noodle cartons took place at the Senate Chamber of UNIABUJA, where Alhaji Danu presented the donation to the Vice-Chancellor, AbdulRasheed Na’Allah.

Expressing his commitment to supporting indigent students during Ramadan, Alhaji Danu pledged to continue providing food items to UNIABUJA students for the next 25 days. He stated, “Our intention when we came here was to donate 500 packages for 500 students, but when we saw the development of the university as a result of the commitment of the Vice Chancellor, I therefore spoke with my partners. We have decided to feed 300 students for the next 25 days, so every day, we’re going to agree on the figures to donate.”

Alhaji Danu emphasized the importance of giving back to society, citing it as an obligation in Islam. He explained that Ramadan, in particular, is a time for sharing food and water, especially considering the challenges faced by many in Nigeria. He highlighted the foundation’s efforts to alleviate the burden on students, especially during this holy month.

Acknowledging the increasing prices of basic commodities like noodles, Alhaji Danu stressed the foundation’s commitment to adding value to humanity. He urged philanthropists to engage in partnerships with universities and society to make a positive impact.

In response, Mr. Na’Allah expressed gratitude for the donation, emphasizing the university’s readiness to welcome private participation in supporting students. He assured that the food items would be distributed to those in need, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts in addressing challenges faced by students.

Alhaji Danu’s philanthropic gesture underscores the significance of communal support, particularly during times of need, and highlights the role of individuals and organizations in contributing to societal welfare.
