A video has surfaced on social media showing the touching moment when one of President Bola Tinubu’s ministerial nominees, Maryam ‘Shetty’ Shettima, expressed her gratitude through prayer after her name was announced in the second batch of nominees.

President Tinubu submitted the second batch of ministerial nominees to the Senate for confirmation, and among them is Maryam Shettima. In the video posted on Twitter, Maryam is seen on her prayer mat, receiving a call before going into sujud (prostration) to thank Almighty Allah for the nomination.

With heartfelt emotions, she looks at the camera and expresses her thanks to President Tinubu, whom she describes as “patriotic.” She prays for the success of his administration.

The video was accompanied by a caption that acknowledged the representation of Northern Youths in the ministerial nominations and thanked President Tinubu for his choices.

Maryam Shettima, a political and social activist and a qualified physiotherapist, has previously worked with top-tier athletes, including the legendary world record holder, Jamaica’s Usain Bolt.

The touching moment captured in the video reflects Maryam’s gratitude and reverence for the opportunity to serve the nation in this capacity.
