    Livestock Devt: Kwara SAPZ to partner Whitewood Vet Ventures

    Kwara State Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ) project has expressed its preparedness to partner with the Whitewood Veterinary Ventures to ensure the accomplishment of the project’s development objective of improved livestock development in the State.

    SAPZ Project Coordinator, Engr. Dr. Busari Toyin Isiaka, stated this while playing host to the Lead Consultant of Whitewood Veterinary Ventures Ltd, Dr. Saka Jimoh Shittu in his office.

    Busari, who explained that Agro-Industrial Processing project requires the expertise of various professionals at the different phases of pre-construction, construction and operation, said the partnership was aimed at driving the vision of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to embark on massive industrialisation for the improvement of the State’s economy through improved dairy production, and to also generate employment opportunities for the youths.

    While presenting the services the firm has for Kwara SAPZ Project, the Lead Consultant, Whitewood Veterinary Ventures, Dr. Saka Jimoh Shittu, explained that Whitewood generally keys into farm management and optimisation, animal health, nutrition, breed improvement, agricultural value chain development, market research, training and capacity building, among others.

    He added that the consultancy firm would begin with capacity building and training for beneficiaries, using its expertise to develop and maintain the livestock value chain of SAPZ in Kwara.
