LAGOS – Mrs. Bolanle Riskat Adeniran, the Director of Procurement at the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), took center stage at the 5th Africa Procurement and Supply Chain Awards 2023. The prestigious event, held at the Oriental Hotel in Victoria Island, celebrated excellence in procurement across the African continent.
Mrs. Adeniran, who has been at the helm of the Procurement Department, has demonstrated unwavering commitment to aligning LAWMA’s practices with established procurement principles within the state. Her efforts are aimed at fulfilling LAWMA’s mission of creating a cleaner and more habitable Lagos for all.
Adeniran’s well-deserved recognition stands as a shining testament to her dedication, expertise, and professionalism in the field of procurement. Her accomplishments not only enhance LAWMA’s standing but also establish a noteworthy standard for procurement professionals throughout Africa.
Grateful for the acknowledgment, Adeniran extended her appreciation to the event organizers for recognizing her as “a professional with exemplary performance in procurement.” She reiterated her commitment to fulfilling her responsibilities, ensuring that LAWMA continues to achieve its procurement objectives.
One of the noteworthy highlights of the awards ceremony was Lagos State’s victory as the Best State in Procurement Compliance. This achievement underscores the state’s steadfast dedication to upholding transparent and responsible procurement practices. Mr. Fatai Idowu Onafowote, the Director-General of the Lagos State Public Procurement Agency, further added to the state’s honors by being named the Public Sector Procurement Personality of the Year.
