In line with the vision and commitment of the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, to continually enhance the capacity of the personnel of the Corps, the Kwara State Command of the Corps has organised a two-day capacity development seminar for its Intelligence and Investigative Officers.

The seminar, themed “Enhancing Analytical Capabilities in Modern Intelligence and Investigative Practices”, attracted over 300 intelligence officers from Area Commands and Divisional Offices across the 16 local government areas of the State.

In his remarks, the State Commandant, Dr. Umar J. G. Mohammed, who was represented by the Head of the Intelligence and Investigation Department, DCC Yaqeen Rafiu Olanrewaju, urged the participants to take full advantage of such training opportunities to enhance their skills and keep pace with the ever revolving demands of intelligence and investigative operations.

He emphasised the critical role that continuous learning and professional development play in maintaining the high standards of the Corps, particularly in an era where security challenges are becoming increasingly sophisticated.

In a goodwill message, ACG Stella O. Oladeye, (Acg Intelligence NHQ, Abuja) stressed the critical need for such seminars, noting the increasing complexity and dynamic nature of threats to national security.

The seminar featured esteemed resource persons from both internal and external sources, including experts from the National Human Rights Commission, the State High Court, and a leading ICT firm based in Ilorin. Their diverse expertise provided valuable insights and practical knowledge to the participants.
