Momentum is building for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State ahead of 2027 as top Offa elites and stakeholders have thrown their weight behind the joint ticket of Rt Hon Saliu Yakubu Danladi and Hon Seun Ogunniyi Adato.
Adato was recently announced as the APC deputy governorship candidate.
The endorsement came on the sidelines of the public presentation of the book ‘The Unexplained Wealth Trilogy’ by constitutional lawyer, Dr Wahab Shittu, SAN, held at Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos State.
The event drew high-net-worth professionals and community leaders from Offa who resolved to close ranks behind the lawmaker to ensure cohesive representation and sustainable growth for Kwara South.
Among prominent Offa leaders at the gathering were: Dr A.W.A Ibraheem, Alhaji Tajudeen Owoyemi, Asiwaju of Offa, Rafiu Adeyanju, Barr Lawal Rabana, SAN, Alhaji Bola Oyebode, Dr Waheed Olagunju, Dr Layi Bello, Dr Remi Oni, Dr Wahab Shittu, SAN, and Alhaji Azeez Bukoye.
Reacting, Adato, who represents Ojomu/Balogun Constituency in the Kwara State House of Assembly, thanked the leaders for the vote of confidence.
”I am profoundly honoured and humbled to receive the collective endorsement of our leaders gathered here,” he said, describing them as pillars of mentorship and beacons of integrity.
He said the trust reinforces commitment to service under the APC banner and to moving Kwara forward through progressive governance and stakeholder engagement.
The Danladi-Adato ticket has continued to gain traction, with the Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye II, also publicly declaring Offa community’s support for APC during a homecoming rally last weekend, citing equity and Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s achievements.
Stakeholders said the flurry of endorsements has boosted APC’s prospects in Kwara South ahead of the 2027 general elections.
