    Kogi poll: Labour will industrilise Kogi-Okeme

    The governership candidate of the Labour party in the November 11 Election in Kogi state, Barrister Adejoh Okeme has promised to make turn the state into an industrial one instead of the civil service state it had been known for.

    Barrister Okeme stated this while addressing a press conference ahead of Saturday’s Election.

    According to him,” Kogi state have always been referred to as a civil service state, depending solely on Federal allocation for salaries payments, with little or nothing left for any developmental project,we are going to change the narrative and make the state an industrial hub.

    He said that his administration would also embarked on Agricultural revolution to ensure food Security in the state and even enable the state sell to neighbouring state and for exports to earn foreign income which would inturn be used for industrialization.

    “We would also priotise primary health care delivery, health care services would be brought closer to the people and people will no longer have to travel long distance to access health care services.

    He also expressed concern about spate of violence being reported almost on daily basis since the commencement of the electoral processes adding that Election should not be a do or die affair if truly you want to serve the people with genuine intention.

    He however expressed confidence in the ability the security agencies based on the measures in place to guarantee peaceful Election and called on them to follow the measures to the letter to make the election violence free.
