Nigeria union of teachers NUT has joined thousands of friends of Kebbi to celebrate Kebbi governor and good people of Kebbi state for attaining thirty five as a state in Nigeria.
The chairman of union in Kebbi state, Comrade Zaki Sarki (SK) in a statement on Thursday described the day as histrionic and a day for sober reflection.
He added that people of Kebbi state should look back from the time the state was created and now how it developed under different administrations from the military to civilians and how it is under the leadership of a unionist governor Idris.
Comrade Zaki stated that since the emergence of Comrade governor Idris he has built on the legacies of past administrations with a beautiful turn around of Kebbi state capital and several other projects across the state not talk of education with reconstruction and renovations of over five hundred schools and furnished with furniture across the state.
” We are not celebrating Kebbi state alone but the sitting governor Idris for making Kebbi unionist proud by leading with focus and operating an all inclusive government where the people of Kebbi have voice”.
NUT urged the people of Kebbi state to pray for the progress of the state and for Kebbi government to continue to deliver dividends of democracy as part of their celebrations saying without prayers nothing can be achieved.
While felicitating with the good people of Kebbi state he pledged the union unalloyed support to Nasir Idris government.
