The Nigeria Police in Kaduna successfully thwarted an attempted kidnapping of Umar Musa, the Paramount Ruler of Ninzo Chiefdom in Sanga Local Government Area, on Wednesday. However, the whereabouts of the chief’s wife remain unknown.

ASP Mansir Hassan, the police spokesperson, confirmed the incident, stating that while the attack on the traditional ruler was foiled, the chief’s wife is still missing. Security forces have been deployed to the forests around Sanga in a concerted effort to locate her.

The Ninzo Development Association, represented by President Prof. Moses Audi and Secretary Silas Anche, condemned the attempted kidnapping. They emphasized the need for calm and urged the community to allow the government and security agencies to handle the situation effectively.

The association’s statement reflects the community’s distress over the incident and highlights the ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and security of its members, particularly in the face of such threats.
