‘I’ve been sad’ – Kunle Afolayan solicits help over fuel price hike

    Published on

Famous Nollywood star and businessman, Kunle Afolayan, has solicited help over his inability to cope with the latest hike in fuel price.

Speaking in a now trending video on social media, Afolayan revealed that he spends N11 million on diesel at his KAP Film Village monthly despite having solar power.

Lamenting over his financial struggles, Afolayan said, “It’s not sustainable because even the diesel we have been buying was on credit and when we make small money we find a way to pay, and sometimes it takes two months to pay and then get another one on credit.”

While begging the public for help, the actor stated that he needs a load.

“We need a loan to upgrade our solar power. So if you can come to our aid, I will really appreciate it.

“I have been sad because I can’t cope with the N1,500 per liter of diesel. I can’t even comprehend it because in one of the businesses that we run, Cab Village, we spent about N11 million in 4 to 5 weeks. And even though we have solar power, we still spend a lot on diesel.

“When this announcement of the new diesel price came, I have been sad. From N995 or N1000 to more than N1,500,” he stated.
