Iran attacks US bases in Qatar, Iraq

    Published on

Iran has carried out a “mighty response” to America’s strikes on its nuclear sites, launching missile attacks on US military bases in Qatar and Iraq.

The attacks happened on Monday night as witnesses in Doha, Qatar’s capital heard explosions boom and saw as missile after missile flew to their intended targets.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps said that the attack was a firm response to “the blatant military aggression by the criminal regime of the United States,” describing the attack as a powerful move to ensure that the regime “will never leave any aggression against its territorial integrity, sovereignty, or national security unanswered.”

Iranian president, Masoud Pezeshkian, warned on X just before the explosions; “We neither initiated the war nor sought it. But we will not leave the invasion of great Iran without an answer.”

The Ain al-Assad base containing US troops in western Iraq was also targeted by Iranian forces although the situation there is unclear.

Iran confirmed that the number of missiles fired matched the number of bombs the US fired at their sites over the weekend, reiterating that future attacks would be met with further retaliation.

Qatar has condemned the attack, confirming that no casualties were reported.
