The Integrity Group of Nigeria, a nationwide political support movement championing President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope for More Agenda, has unveiled the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ajibola Basiru, as its National Patron.

The unveiling took place recently during a courtesy visit to the APC national secretariat in Abuja, with delegates from no fewer than eight states in attendance. The visit, marked by colourful displays and strong political messaging, underscored the group’s deepening involvement in both national and sub-national politics.

Speaking during the event, the group’s National Convener, Dr. Oke Idawene, declared the organization’s firm resolve to deliver 15 million votes for President Tinubu in the 2027 general elections. He also used the occasion to caution Nigerians against falling for what he described as “political propaganda from discredited coalitions.”

    > “We are here to affirm our unshakable support for President Tinubu’s bold reforms,” Dr. Idawene stated. “From halting the ill-advised naira redesign policy to removing the fuel subsidy, revitalizing agriculture and healthcare, and clearing Nigeria’s IMF debts, this administration is laying a new foundation for a stronger, globally respected Nigeria.”

He further hinted at the group’s full-scale backing of Senator Basiru’s anticipated governorship bid in Osun State, describing him as a “tested and trusted progressive” who would deepen the president’s reforms at the state level.

    Twofold Mandate: Tinubu 2027 & Basiru 2026

The group presented what it described as its “Twin Mandates for National Renewal”: To mobilize grassroots support for Senator Ajibola Basiru’s emergence as the next Governor of Osun State and to shield President Tinubu’s re-election campaign from derailment by failed politicians regrouping under new coalitions.

Responding to the group’s gesture, Senator Ajibola Basiru commended the Integrity Group’s dedication to the Tinubu administration and the broader progressive movement.

    > “The achievements of President Tinubu are not only tangible, but transformative,” Basiru said. “From economic stabilization to increased foreign investment, and a renewed commitment to national security, the administration is correcting decades of systemic decay. We must not allow opportunistic coalitions to reverse these gains.”

He also expressed gratitude for the endorsement of his prospective governorship run, stating that Osun needed experienced, reform-minded leadership to sustain progressive momentum.

One of the highpoints of the event was the formal presentation of the Integrity Group’s National Summit Information Card. The summit, billed for August 18, 2025, is themed: “Renewed Hope for More Agenda: The Only Way to Go”, and will spotlight the administration’s milestones and reform trajectory.

Souvenirs were exchanged in a show of unity and mobilization readiness.

A strong delegation of party loyalists and zonal coordinators joined in the endorsement, including:Dr. Jonah – Deputy National Chairman (Taraba State); FCT Chairman of the Integrity Group; Hon. Obinna – National Youth Leader (Ebonyi State); South-East Zonal Vice Chairman (Anambra); South-South Woman Leader (Delta) and delegates from Yobe, Edo, Delta, Taraba, Benue, Niger, Gombe, Lagos, and the FCT.

The visit marked a powerful synergy between grassroots activism and national political leadership, as the Integrity Group ramps up its efforts to shape Nigeria’s democratic direction ahead of 2027.
