    Ibas, Rivers’ sole administrator, is in Aso Rock for National Economic Council meeting

    The National Economic Council (NEC) meeting is now being chaired by Vice President Kashim Shettima at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

    Ibok-Eke Ibas, Rivers State’s sole administrator, is surprisingly present.

    Sheriff Oborevwori, the governor of Delta State, is also present at the conference. He just switched from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

    Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia of Benue, Abdulrahman Abdulrazak of Kwara, Monday Okpebholo of Edo, and Bassey Otu of Cross River are among the other governors that were seen at the conference.

    Several deputy governors are also present.

    The vice president often chairs the National Economic Council meeting. Nigerian economic issues are discussed at the meeting.
