The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, Vice Admiral Ibok Ete Ibas (rtd) has been commended for restoring peace, stability, and progress in the state.

In a statement, President of the Civil Society Groups for Good Governance, Chief Ogakwu Dominic, said the people of Rivers State have witnessed a remarkable return to harmony under the stewardship of the Sole Administrator, whose uncommon leadership qualities continue to draw widespread commendation.

Chief Dominic noted that through a forthright vision and decisive approach, the Sole Administrator has successfully neutralized conflict situations, restored communal harmony, and stabilized the political landscape of the state.

A testament to this leadership, he added, was the peaceful and credible conduct of the recent local government elections. Despite initial doubts, the exercise was held in an atmosphere of calm, fairness, and inclusivity, fostering reconciliation among divergent political interests.

Chief Dominic further stated that the Administrator’s commitment to nation-building and service, even after retirement, reflects true statesmanship and inspires both the young and old.

He also applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing a leader with the right credentials and political acumen at such a critical moment in the history of Rivers State.

Today, Rivers people celebrate not just an administrator, but a peacemaker, a unifier, and a visionary leader whose legacy of service continues to strengthen democracy and governance in the country.
