For Chuks Joseph, the journey into acting was never a planned endeavor. In a recent interview with Pulse Nigeria, the actor candidly shared that pursuing a career in acting wasn’t part of his initial aspirations.

Joseph explained that his entry into the world of acting was rather serendipitous. He admitted, “There wasn’t a definitive reason to become an actor. I never wanted to become an actor. It just happened over time.” Despite not harboring childhood or teenage dreams of becoming an actor, Joseph’s passion for movies gradually led him into the field.

The actor traced the origin of his career back to a modeling contest where he emerged as the first runner-up. As part of his prize, he was offered a scholarship to either a fashion class or a film school. Given his love for films, Joseph opted for the latter, setting the stage for his journey into acting.

Reflecting on his experience at the film school in Lagos, Joseph described it as transformative. He likened it to entering a chocolate factory and witnessing the intricate process of chocolate-making, sparking a newfound passion for filmmaking within him.

Joseph’s foray into acting soon bore fruit as he garnered attention for his roles in prominent productions. Notably, his performance in the acclaimed Linda Ikeji film “Dark October” in 2023 and the Netflix series “The Origin Madam Koi Koi” contributed to his rise to fame.

Despite initially not envisioning himself as an actor, Joseph’s journey serves as a testament to the unpredictable nature of life’s paths and the power of passion to guide one’s pursuits.
