    Gov Sule, Gusau, to grace NNL 2025/2026 season opener in Lafia

    Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, will serve as Special Guest of Honour at the opening match of the 2025/2026 Nigeria National League (NNL) season on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Lafia City Stadium.

    The match will feature home side FC Basira facing Mighty Jets of Jos in a Conference C encounter expected to draw large crowds.

    Governor Sule will perform the ceremonial kick-off, joined by NFF President, Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau; NNL Chairman, George Aluo; and members of the NNL Board.

    His entourage will include Deputy Governor Dr. Emmanuel Agbadu Akabe, Sports Commissioner Hon. Kwanta Yakubu Bohar, Attorney General Barr. Isaac Danladi, Permanent Secretary Dr. Ibrahim Adamu Alhassan, and State FA Chairman, Mr. Salisu Usman Galadima.

    The 8,000-capacity stadium is expected to be filled with fans eager to witness the new season’s kickoff, which promises an exciting display of football action.
