Gov Eno’s second term, done deal, says commissioner

    Published on

The Commissioner Ministry of Lands and Town Planning, Dr. Ubong Inyang has said that Governor Umo Eno’s reelection was a fait accompli, citing his performances in just two years.

Inyang gave the assurance in Ikono Local Government Area while sensitising the people on the ongoing continuous voter registration exercise.

The commissioner said the sensitisation was imperative to ensure that no eligible vote was lost in order to sustain the good work the governor is doing in the State.

“We have seen the quality of governance in Akwa Ibom State that needs to be shielded by the masses. The Governor has bridged the gap between the government and the governed. The masses now have faith in what their governor is doing. We have seen lots of developmental strides of the governor across the State in just two years. Now, the only way the masses can respond is to come out in their numbers to show absolute support for the government, and that can only come by the masses ensuring that they register to vote. When you are talking about voting strength and you have not gotten your PVC, you are literally wasting your time,” he stated.

He described Eno’s reelection as “a done deal ” and urged all the stakeholders of Ikono to go to their respective villages to ensure all eligible voters who did not register in the last exercise were duly registered.

He said telling the people to participate in the registration exercise is to ensure that Ikono LGA returns the highest number of votes for the governor in 2027.
