(Dr.) Isaac Omoyele, as well as the formal commissioning of newly renovated offices and the Officers Lodge at the Corps Operation Headquarters, Oke-Fia in Osogbo.

“I am glad to say that this vision is yielding results already. I wish to re-emphasised that when our administration supported the overhaul of Osun Amotekun Corps, we did so with the belief that a secure Osun is a prosperous Osun, However, we must not relent. I therefore urge the leadership and operatives of the Amotekun Corps to continue to innovate, train and deepen engagements with local communities.

“We must build on this one-year foundation to deliver a more robust, people centred and intelligence-driven security framework.

“To all operatives of the Osun Amotekun Corps, I thank you for your tireless service. Your sacrifice, often silent and unseen, is the reason Osun remains relatively peaceful. Be assured that our government remains committed to your welfare and the strengthening of your capacity to succeed,” he stated.

In his own address at the well-attended ceremony, the Osun Amotekun Corps Board Chairman, AIG Wale Abbas (Rtd), said the entire people of Osun State should continue to demonstrate their unalloyed support to the security outfit saying, security is a shared responsibility.

“We must continue to support our local security architecture by staying vigilant, cooperating with operatives and promoting peace in our homes and communities. In addition, Osun Amotekun Corps is not working for any political party but we are working for all and sundry in order to ensure complete Osun crime free in an open-door policy”
