Goodluck Jonathan Is Not Experienced—Atiku Claims

    Published on

Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, on Wednesday, described former President Goodluck Jonathan as a decent but inexperienced man.

According to Atiku, the inexperience contributed greatly to Jonathan’s failure in office and his eventual defeat at the polls during the 2015 presidential election.

Atiku made the declaration during an interview on Arise News.

In his words, “I know Goodluck Jonathan very well, he is a decent young man but also inexperienced, which contributed to his failure to manage the affairs of the country.”

He made the submission while advocating for experienced and capable leadership at the helm of affairs in Nigeria.

Meanwhile, Naija News earlier reported that Atiku has disclosed that 2027 will be his last attempt at contesting for Nigeria’s presidency.

He added that being the last attempt makes it more of a high-stakes contest for him.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) chieftain added that he represents both the past and future of Nigeria.

Justifying why he is still contesting the presidency, Atiku declared that the younger generation of leaders clamouring for power have not lived up to expectations, and he personally believes that they require experience and tutelage from the older generation.
