Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has broken silence after a closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Fubara told reporters that the discussion with the president was cordial, describing it as a “father and son” engagement. He further disclosed that he and his political principal, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, were now working together.

The governor resumed duties on Friday following his reinstatement a day earlier. He, along with his deputy and members of the state legislature, had been under a six-month suspension during the emergency rule imposed on the state.
