Prospective corps members deployed to Bayelsa have begun arriving at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Boro Town for the 2026 Batch C Stream I orientation course.
The corps members arrived despite difficulties along the East-West Road at Agbarho in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta, where flooding had cut off sections of the road.
Attempts to interview some of the arriving corps members about their travel experiences were unsuccessful.
Some of them declined interviews, citing National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) rules restricting them from speaking to journalists.
The arriving corps members underwent security screening at the camp gate before proceeding with documentation and accommodation arrangements.
Camp officials, security personnel and representatives of collaborating agencies were strategically deployed to ensure an orderly reception and registration process.
Activities were progressing smoothly, with personnel attending to corps members at designated points.
