    Five confirmed dead,three injured in Kogi Auto crash—update

    The Kogi state command of the Federal Road Safety Corp,FRSC has confirmed the death of five persons in a auto crash involving two vehicles along Lokoja/Kabba road on Thursday.

    The incident was said to have occurred in a village between Agbede and Agbadu villages along Lokoja/Kabba road

    The state sector Commander of the FRSC, Samuel Oyedeji who confirmed the incident on Thursday said that the two vehicles involved are a Ford Galaxy space wagon and a Mazda car.

    He said that eight persons were involved withe give dead while three sustained serious injury

    The two vehicles were said said to have collided while on high speeds trying to overtake a truck.

    His words”A Ford Galaxy space wagon and Mazda car collided,8 persons involved,5 dead,3 injured

    The two vehicles heading in opposite directions were said to have collided when one was trying to overtake a truck but met the other suddenly and collided with the one coming from the opposite direction.

    Oyedeji was however silent on the likely cause of the head on collision.
